1089/2006. (IX. 25.) Korm. határozat a Nők és Férfiak Társadalmi Egyenlősége Tanács létrehozásáról
Government resolution no. 1089/2006. (IX. 25.) on the creation of the Council for Gender Equality
The Council for Gender Equality is a tripartite body serving as a consultative forum for discussing issues of gender equality. It consists of representatives of ministries, NGOs and independent experts. It is designed to be a consultative body discussing legal and policy proposals and evaluating the impact of past and current policies on the situation of women and men. The Council has been reorganised by a government resolution in 2009, and the process of selecting the participating NGOs has changed from a self-delegation mechanism to appointment by the minister. Since the change of government in 2010 the Council has not been convened.
