The survey was carried out to evaluate the current the situation of gender equality in Germany. The commission of independent experts examines status and future challenges of German national equality politics in different fields: law and stereotyped role models like the male breadwinning and the female role of housewife and mother, education, interrupted working patterns predominantly by females, different time sovereignity and female old-aged poverty. The survey identifies demand for action just at the transitions between different phases of life, e.g. first professional orientation, founding a family or during re-entry into working life. For analysis as well as for recommendations both males and females are taken into account.
