The political preferences and value orientations of Irish journalists
The article explores how class position, political orientation, and social values assist in generating meaning making among Irish journalists. Study finds that the profession is largely young and male - women entail only about a third of all professionals. However, the author reasons that over time the overall number of female journalists are likely to increase, but higher positions will remain male dominated
