The European Institute for Gender Equality, the regulatory agency of the European Union, (referred to below as the contracting authority) is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure.
The overall objective of the contract is to analyse parental leave policy designs in EU Member States specifically focusing on eligibility for leave, their synergies with ECEC services and measures promoting men’s engagement in informal care.
The specific objectives are:
- estimation of the share of (potential) working parents who are eligible to parental leave in the EU Member States and reasons for (non-)eligibility.
- identification of synergies and gaps between national parental leave policies and ECEC.
- identification of parental leave policy design elements and other policy measures aiming to promote the take up of parental leave among men and encourage shared caregiving.
