Emma Holten (b. 1991) holds an MA in Modern Culture from the University of Copenhagen. Since 2014, she has worked internationally on feminist issues. She has served on the Expert Forum of the European Institute of Gender Equality and is a member of the advisory group on women’s rights at International Human Rights Watch. Since 2019, she has been giving lectures on feminist economics and the value of care. Deficit (2024) is her first book, which has also been published in Norway, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy, and is on its way in several other countries. It has won several prizes in Denmark and one in Sweden. She lives in Copenhagen.
