My name is Maria Metodieva from Bulgaria. I am deeply interested in science and a passionate advocate for women’s rights in STEM.
I have shared this vision on international stages, including the European Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan Review 2024 and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s Annual Meeting 2024, where I was invited as a speaker, as well as the Women and Girls in STEM Forum, where I participated in 2023 and was invited as a moderator in 2025.
I have also competed internationally, including the Conrad Challenge 2024, NASA, where my team and I won. I was also named one of Bulgaria’s 20 Under 20 in 2025. I am currently studying Molecular Biotechnology at TUM, determined to pursue a future in science and promote greater equality for women and girls in STEM.
