Maria Luísa Moreira is an award-winning foreign affairs analyst and founder of The Gender Diplomat, a multimedia and consulting platform at the intersection of equality and global security policy. In 2021, she received a national award from the Portuguese Ministry of Defence for her research on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in defence policy, and was featured at the 2022 NATO Youth Summit in Brussels. Maria Luísa is a frequent public speaker, TV analyst and writer on global security issues, namely in leading Portuguese broadcast media, where she signs a bimonthly column entitled Diplomatic Bag. She has worked in public diplomacy, project management and communications, and is a proud alumna of the London School of Economics (LSE) and the University of Essex, UK.
