Pronouns: She/her
Julia Kenning is a law student at Umeå University. Originally from Stockholm, Julia moved to Umeå to pursue her law studies because of the consequences of the MeToo movement where women were being accused of slander when they told their stories, and she wanted to make a difference. During her studies Julia has been the treasurer, and is the current head of the board of the Feminist Law Students Association in Umeå. The association works towards highlighting ways in which inequality takes shape in law and law-adjacent areas. She has also been involved in the local women's shelter where she and other female law students offer legal advice to women on a voluntary basis. In the role as EU Careers Student Ambassador Julia has worked to inspire more Swedes to pursue a career within the EU.
