We’re living through multiple and parallel geopolitical changes. Each of which bring new challenges to the push for gender equality. From war zones to economic instability to shifting political power, the stakes are high - and it’s women and girls who often pay the highest price. This session features Oana Lungescu, journalist and former NATO Spokesperson - longest serving and first woman to hold this role and Stella Ronner-Grubacic, Deputy Managing Director for Values and Multilateral Relations at the EU External Action Service. With them, we discuss how to leverage gender-focused and gender-sensitive policies to navigate the impact of global challenges. And to plot a course to eradicate gender-based violence against women and girls and improve gender equality at the same time.
