Learn more about how to mainstream gender in the European Green Deal policy areas to promote a more gender-equal and greener world. In this session we will present 2 good practices which were part of EIGE’s recent report showcasing 12 good practices on how to mainstream gender in the European Green Deal.

Pitch #1: Milan Gender Atlas: A Feminist Perspective on the City

The Milan Gender Atlas marks an innovative step in urban planning by intertwining gender studies with city design. This initiative is embedded within a broader urban transformation agenda seeking to address the cultural, social, and environmental complexities of modern urban life. The project maps Milan through gender-focused lenses, analysing accessibility to essential services and urban safety from the perspectives of women and gender minorities. The result is a tool for creating environments that are more inclusive.

Pitch #2: Women at the heart of climate justice

We will also showcase a tool that was developed by Oxfam Belgium to talk about the gender dimension of the climate crisis. The target group for the tool is 16 to 30 years old, and the aim is to better understand the gender-climate link and how gender stereotypes can increase the injustices caused by climate change.
