Dimitrios Papadimoulis

Vice-President of the European Parliament responsible for Gender Equality and Diversity

Dimitrios Papadimoulis is Vice-President of the European Parliament and head of the SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance delegation.

He has served as Member of the Greek Parliament (2009-2014) and has been elected three times as Member of the European Parliament (2004-2009, 2014-2019, 2019-now). Since July 2014, he has been serving as Vice-President of the European Parliament.

As Vice-President of the European Parliament, he is responsible for Gender Equality and Diversity and is the Chair of the High-level Group on Gender Equality and Diversity. He is also member of the Working Group on Information and Communication Policy, member of the Chancellery of the European Citizen’s Prize, and replaces the President for European trade unions and for the Council of Europe and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
