Miguel Macias Sequeira

Miguel Macias Sequeira is a researcher and PhD candidate at the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research of the NOVA School of Science and Technology (CENSE, FCT-NOVA) of the NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal. There he collaborates on multi-scalar impactful energy transition projects, including on topics such as energy poverty, hard-to-reach energy users, energy efficiency, one-stop shops, buildings’ renovation, and renewable energy communities. Miguel is also a volunteer in the Local Partnership of Telheiras - a civil society network that promotes local sustainability - where he is coordinating an innovative energy community project. Finally, he is an environmental activist at GEOTA - one of the key environmental NGOs in Portugal - currently serving as a board member.
