there! I am Helena Hofer, I am an early-career policy professional based in Brussels and working at the European Commission, with experience in EU law and policymaking, strategic planning and equality mainstreaming. 

During my studies I particularly focused on gender equality, women’s health, health equity and the societal impacts of AI. My research on algorithmic bias in healthcare has made me increasingly interested in how policy and technology can either reinforce or help mitigate existing inequalities. 

At the EIGE Gender Equality Forum 2026, I hope to contribute to and learn from conversations on building more inclusive, intersectional and evidence-based approaches to gender equality and economic growth.
