The Transport Committee of the European Parliament organises a debate on 'Women in Transport'. The purpose of this debate is to address gender matters in transports and in particular to analyse how to increase the female workforce in the transport sector. The discussion will touch upon topics such as:
- promoting the quality and quantity of women's engagement in the transport sector,
- promoting equal opportunities for women to access the transport sector,
- promoting a fair and equitable sharing of benefits from transports,
- upholding the rights of women employed in the transport sector,
- and identifying support mechanisms to enhance the active participation of women in decision-making spaces.
