Violence against Women Victim Support: ReportReview of the Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action in the EU Member States Domestic violence against women remains one of the most pervasive human rights violations of our time, and one of the biggest global problems. In the EU, 9 out of 10 victims of intimate partner violence are women. It harms women, families, communities and society. The current report aims to support policymakers and all relevant institutions in their efforts to combat and prevent domestic violence, by providing them with reliable and comparable data and information for effective, evidence-based decisions and policy improvement. The study to identify and map existing data and resources on sexual violence against women in the EUThis report is based on a study commissioned by EIGE and carried out by the European Women’s Lobby in 2011. Men and gender equality
The involvement of men in gender equality initiatives in the European UnionThis report is the final product of the Background study on the involvement of men in gender equality in the European Institute for Gender Equality’s (EIGE) working areas. The study was commissioned by EIGE and implemented by Men for Gender Equality (Sweden). The general aim was to map relevant stakeholders in all EU Member States whose activity could be considered as contributing to a more effective involvement of men in the promotion of gender equality.
