20% of women aged 25-49 are inactive and more than half of them are not looking for a job because of care responsibilities. Compared with men of the same age, this difference, although still high, has decreased since 2006. The new EIGE report shows that gender approach must be integrated into climate change policies and actions to respond to climate change efficiently. EIGE introduces the first EU indicators on gender and climate to support the policy makers in enhancing equality and improving the climate change policies.
