Description of the contract

The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) envisages awarding a low-value contract for updating its work on gender-sensitive and inclusive communications.

Description of the requested services

EIGE’s glossary and thesaurus[1], published in 2016 and slightly updated since, is heavily referenced by media and by EU-level policy makers. However, being almost 6 years old in an area of constant evolution, means that some terms and definitions are outdated. Terminology and concepts in outputs of EIGE projects such as those on Gender-based Violence and Gender Mainstreaming related projects need to be alligned with overall approach to EIGE’s glossary. Moreover, EIGE’s toolkit on gender-sensitive communication[2] was published three years ago and some parts of it are considered outdated.

To provide a comprehensive and useful package on gender-sensitive and inclusive communications, EIGE plans to develop an e-learning course on this topic.

The contractor of this procurement procedure will be expected to follow a participatory consultation process to

  1. Review, reconceptualise and then update the gender equality glossary and thesaurus taking into account stakeholder needs and developments in EU on gender sensitive communication
  2. Provide the content for the e-learning course on gender sensitive and inclusive communications
