Procurement at EIGE is subject to Title V of its Financial Rules as well as relevant provisions of the EP and Council Regulation 966/2012 on the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the European Union and the Rules of its Application, Commission Delegated Regulation 1268/2012, as amended.
In accordance with its establishment Regulation, REGULATION (EC) No 1922/2006, has legal entity and may enter into contractual relations with other organisations in order to accomplish any tasks.
The conclusion of a contract is only possible after successful completion of strict tendering procedures in accordance with EU public procurement rules. In respect to the above mentioned rules and regulations, EIGE selects appropriate procurement procedure. Depending on its subject, repetitiveness and value, the advertising requirements are chosen accordingly.
Open tender procedures with a value exceeding €135,000.00 are advertised in EIGE’s website once they have been published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) database, the supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union dedicated to public procurement.
EIGE also publishes ex-ante publicity notices on tenders with a value between €15,000.00 - €135,000.00.
Interested suppliers may respond to a call for expressions of interest to be preselected as a potential candidate for invitations to tender. The Institute is unable to respond to unsolicited calls from suppliers. All economic operators may express their professional interest but only those preselected will participate in tendering.
