Activity of Homes Igualitaris- Ahige Catalunya (Catalonian Men's Equality Association)

Aims and objectives

The association aims to encourage men to adopt egalitarian positions, through social action, social research and personal reflection. We appeal to men with positive messages, seeking their engagement in gender equality, because we believe that sexism and machismo are common enemies to both men and women and that men stand to gain through this change. We also participate in and carry out campaigns against gender violence (we are part of the white ribbon campaign) and that promote caring fathers and masculinities. We think that sexism affects men's health. Associate with AHIGE at a national level. This organisation works at a regional level. Founded in 2009.
