Rethinking of public policies on - how crucial are feminist studies on communication

Starting from a brief analysis of the academic work done in feminist media studies, the text analyses the difficulties in articulating it with media policies. It also proposes specific mechanisms for monitoring public policies and suggests that such mechanisms are accompanied by policies that recognize the freedom of women’s right to be informed in their own perspectives and to make their voices heard.
