Gender and Journalism: are reporters able to raise gender awareness through news?

The report describes how training in gender awareness is important. Likewise, accessibility to a list of male and female experts locally on various topics is also important. Such a list would include names of men and women which the journalist can choose from when they need a diversity of opinions, whether women are portrayed in similar ways in all media – be it news, adverts or entertainment while also focusing on the objectification of women’s bodies in media which has been a consistent theme in the analysis of women’s representation.
