"Striving for balance"; The Family and Working Life Commission's report
The Family and Working Life Commission (assigned in December 2005) was to map and analyse the demands of a modern family on the functioning of the Danish labour market, public and private service, and a more flexible society. With this assignment the Parliament demonstrated it’s awareness of the pressure families with small children experience in their daily-life. The commission published their main report in 2007 with 31 recommendations that were to make the reconciliation of work and family easier for most Danish parents and contribute to afford a less stressful everyday life.
