Aims and objectives
The collection of sex-disaggregated statistics is a first step in the process of recognition of gender inequalities and their mapping. Such statistical data is included in a concise manner in the annual reports on the execution of the National Plans on Promotion of Gender Equality.
Results and impact
Sex-disaggregated statistics is available in the databases of the Bulgarian National Statistical Institute. It is accessible through specialised searches.

Statistical data disaggregated by sex is collected by the National Statistical Institute. Whenever an organisation needs sex-disaggregated statistics, the search has to be performed individually for each case in the NSI database. Some topics that are being followed include unemployment rates, demographic data, etc. There is no separate database only with sex-disaggregated data.
