Lithuanian Penal Code, Article 135

Removing the child from the family, suspending parental authority: if there is a real threat to the child's health or life, the child protection authority of the state or the public child protection authority in conjunction with the police immediately takes the child from the parent or other legal representatives of the child and transfer the child to responsible bodies (this procedure is defined by the procedures of Civil Code).
