Health professionals have a role to play in combating violence against women
It is urgent to finally recognize violence against women as a major public health problem in our society and help by appropriate training physicians and other professionals to take charge. Violence against women is not a private matter. We must break the taboo. These crimes and crimes should be punished by law, including too many women are still victims, which have consequences for many health problems, even death. In our country, every other day, a woman dies at the hands of a spouse or former spouse. This situation can not be tolerated.
