Emerging evidence shows that violence against women and girls is intensifying in times of crisis – be it COVID-19, conflict or climate change. Crises are likely to increase in frequency and intensity in the coming years. It is time to discuss ways to enhance gender-based violence risk assessments and strengthen prevention measures as part of crisis response and preparedness.
