Each year, we urge men and boys to wear a ribbon for one or two weeks, starting on 25 November, the International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women. Wearing a white ribbon is a personal pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women. Throughout the year, we encourage men to: do educational work in schools, workplaces and communities; support local women's groups; and raise money for the international educational efforts of the WRC. Current activities include: campaigning in areas of interest to men (specifically sport and music); an ongoing education campaign to target all schools and colleges; policy work with national organisations and UK Government. Schools Award Scheme and Local Authorities Award Scheme are unique awards for organisations making a difference in their local communities around violence against women.
White Ribbon campaign is very active on 16 days of action around 25 November, the UN International Day to Eradicate Violence against Women. Activities in over 200 locations. These are documented in our monthly newsletter and on the website.
