Activity of Piff - Pappor för Individuell Föräldraförsäkring (in English - Fathers for individual parental leave)

Piff is a network of fathers who want to see changes made to parental leave policy. We are a "single issue" organisation. Our defining goal is to change the Swedish system for parental leave, by abolishing the option of transfer of parental leave between parents, thus attaining equal and non-transferable parental leave for men and women. Why? Because we believe that gender equality is totally unachievable as long as men take less responsibility for their children than women do, and because we think that policy makers need to take the initiative and acknowledge their active role in conserving or changing the economic, legal, and ideological structures that influence the choices of men and women with respect to parenthood.
