As an organisation, we had a one-year programme called European Men's Academy (Európai Férfi Akadémia, EFA), a (pro)feminist lecture series in cooperation with a Hungarian men's group, Stop-Férfierőszak Projekt (Stop-Male Violence) and Budapest Corvinus University. It consisted of six forums where one woman and one man talked about the main target areas of the EU in gender equality: politics, economy, media, prostitution, violence, reconciliation of work and family. In all cases, the question was: how can men contribute to a more gender just society? On each occasion, a key pro-feminist or masculinity studies book or article was introduced (if possible in Hungarian translation). Several of our member organisations (Jol-Let Foundation, MONA Foundation, Regina foundation, NANE Association, etc.) have also had outreach programmes for men: usually on two topics: men as involved fathers and men against male violence, including prostitution.
