Aims and objectives
At the Faculty of Philosophy there are two MA programmes dealing with gender equality:
- MA in Gender Studies;
- the first European MA joint degree in women's and gender history (MATILDA) in which students have the opportunity to study for at least one semester at a partner university in the MATILDA consortium: University of Nottingham, University of Lyon-2, University of Vienna, and the CEU-Budapest;
The courses in both MA programmes include gender-sensitive lectures and seminars and prepare students for their future gender-sensitive lives.

The MATILDA curriculum includes courses in core subjects in Women´s and Gender History (theory, methodology, and practice) and specialist options, covering medieval to modern historical eras such as: History of Nationalism and Post-/Colonialism and History of Post-/Socialism; History of Masculinities; History of Gender in the Sciences; History of Gender and Work; History of Gender and Education; Comparative History of Women's Movements, Women's Oral History and Gender and Religion.
Gender relationships in Europe at the turn of the millennium: Women as subjects in migration and marriage (GRINE)
