Poverty
Poverty is more than just material deprivation – it also means exclusion from social life and is a serious threat to the individual’s mental and physical well-being. Widespread poverty harms both the individual and society as a whole. In the European Union, women are more susceptible to different types of poverty due to different discriminatory practices and attitudes that hinder earning opportunities.
