Agriculture and rural development
EU agricultural policies help rural development while protecting the environment. Although women are deeply involved in rural communities and economies, they remain under-represented in farm ownership and agricultural decision-making. Gender equality in agriculture means both acknowledging and promoting women’s contribution in rural areas.
