Guides for mainstreaming gender in university teaching (ES)

Guides for mainstreaming gender in university teaching (ES)

This collection of teaching resources provides guidelines for reviewing courses from a gender perspective, providing recommendations and tools regarding goals and contents, class examples, language use and references, as well as teaching methods, evaluation methods and management of learning environments. The guides aim to strengthen the capacity of lecturers to acknowledge the gendered dynamics that take place within learning environments and to adopt measures that are responsive to students’ diversity, including tools to identify gender stereotypes and roles, to develop students’ critical thinking and to train students to address gender bias in their future professional career. The guides were developed by the Vives University Network - Xarxa Vives d’Universitats (XVU), a non-profit organisation that represents and coordinates joint action for 22 universities in higher education, culture and language (Andorra, Spain, France and Italy).
