Gender Budgeting

Acknowledgements

This toolkit[1] is part of the work of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) on gender budgeting. It constitutes an integral part of EIGE’s gender-mainstreaming platform.

The authors of this toolkit are Elisabeth Klatzer and Angela O’Hagan (independent experts), Catharina Schmitz and Emma Wretblad (NIRAS Sweden AB), and Ursula Mollay, Ambre Maucorps, Arndt Münch and Daniella Fessl (ÖIR GmbH).

It also draws on the various consultation processes organised in the framework of EIGE’s gender budgeting projects. EIGE would like to thank the participants at the consultation meetings that took place on 21 November 2018 and 28 March 2019 in Vilnius, for insights and expertise that greatly informed the research.

A particular thank you goes to Jeroen Decuyper Aerts (Belgian Institute for the equality of women and men, and EIGE Expert’s Forum member, Belgium) for his intellectual contributions and support throughout the implementation of the above mentioned projects. EIGE would like to thank Renate Wielpütz (independent expert) for her high-quality advice and support.

EIGE’s Gender Mainstreaming team coordinated the work on this publication and provided quality assurance (Barbara Limanowska, Helena Morais Maceira, Elena Anchevska, Sarah Robinson, Kim Van Aken and Nicole Jansen).
