Report on Equality between women and men 2008

The principal message highlighted in the report is that, although there is no doubting progress in terms of quantity, efforts are still needed to boost the qualitative aspect of equality. This fifth annual report on equality between women and men, produced in collaboration with the Member States at the request of the European Council of heads of State and Government, is the first to cover the enlarged European Union of 27 Member States, the increased diversity of which is likely to raise new challenges for equality policies.
