The Mass Media Guidelines against Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination were prepared for the Office of the Ombudsman. The study concluded that it would be unproductive to establish a legally binding code of conduct for the mass media against racism and xenophobia and puts forward a series of guidelines and good practices for the equal treatment of persons regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, language, sex, age and other personal characteristics.
