Aims and objectives

To ensure implementation of gender mainstreaming in each ministry, to set goals and measures and to outline responsibilities and monitoring mechanisms

Results and impact

In 2012 six ministries had an operational gender equality plan. Their effectiveness has not been assessed centrally.
Nearly all the ministries have drafted an operational gender equality action plan. The content of the plans differs. Most plans cover a the 4-year government period and outline the measures needed to reach the goals of the Government Gender Equality Action Plan and set a schedule and outline responsibilities. Some have sections on statistics, training, and communications.
