Letter from the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, DG Aliens Affairs, September 2, 2011, “Reaction to the follow-up note ‘Immigration and asylum in the coalition agreement VVD-CDA’ from the Commission Meijers

This letter is provided to the Tweede Kamer, jointly by the Ministry of Justice, Minister of Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, Secretary of State of Justice and Security and Secretary of State of Public Health, Welfare and Sport. The letter deals with opportunities and limitations of the European Rights regarding migration. Part of the letter discusses the Reporting Code, and whether ethnic background and/or cultural background should be included and states that reporting of cases of FGM need to be dealt with differently than other cases of violence.
