GEP - VLIR (BE)

The measure is based on the gender policy Leaving No One Behind – Equality & Inclusion Policy of VLIR-UOS , which is the updated policy to be implemented between 2020–2024. The Gender Working group of the Flemish Interuniversity Council consists of policymakers of the different universities, an academic gender expert and people in charge of personnel and research policy. In addition, a group of young researchers – the “young academy” – is involved in the GEP development. The joint VLIR-JA working group and the High Level Task Force on Gender identified five areas of action in meetings with policymakers from the five Flemish universities, which are (1) training on gender and prejudice, (2) selection and promotion procedures, (3) representation on boards and committees, (4) a sustainable corporate culture and (5) monitoring.
