CESIS is a non-governmental, independent organisation of researchers from a range of disciplinary backgrounds concerned with promoting evidence-based, policy-relevant research at both national and European levels. Its areas of research and action-research include topics such as labour and employment; working conditions; social dialogue; poverty and social inclusion; ageing and older people; migration and ethnic minorities; gender equality; time use and work-life balance; gender-based violence; social entrepreneurship; children and young people from disadvantaged environments; social policies and social protection.
