Business in the Community

BITC is a business-community outreach charity promoting responsible business, corporate social responsibility and corporate responsibility. It works with over 800 UK companies and is committed to improving their business impact on the environment, in the marketplace, in the workplace and in the community. Opportunity Now is one of BITC‘s programmes. It is their campaign on gender diversity and aims to increase women's success at work by providing practical advice to and sharing best practice with employers from private, public and education sectors in order to maximise the potential of female employees and improve their recruitment and retention. One of the priorities of BITC is to work with business to tackle inequality in recruitment, pay and promotion and so Opportunity Now is one of their campaign’s that directly addresses this.
