Social Welfare Services (SWS), Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance

The Social Welfare Services (SWS) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance aims are: safeguarding social cohesion and social solidarity; providing social protection and social inclusion; combating poverty and social exclusion and promoting equal opportunities and the interests of individuals, families and communities. The SWS protects individual right to a decent standard of living; provides vocational training to public assistance beneficiaries in order to enter/re-enter the labour market; provides support to the families and protection and care to children and other vulnerable groups; Support NGOs local authorities in providing quality social services on the local level; and upgrade the public institutions services for foster families.
