Employment Policies for Roma
Politici publice pentru romi. Evoluţii şi perspective
The present work provides information and data regarding the employment situation of the Roma and their access to labour market, focusing on:1) socio-economic data on the dynamics of Roma population in relation to the labour market; 2) factors blocking the access of Roma to the labour market -unfavorable general economic context, health condition, lack of incentives, educational disadvantages, low mobility, illicit employment, etc.; 3) implemented programmes focusing on the role played by central and local public institutions, civil society as well as international institutions; 4) relation between employment policies at the European level and the situation of Roma; 5) case studies; 6) recommendations focused on increasing roma access to the labour market.
