Lei n° 64-A/2011 - Aprova as Grandes Opções do Plano para 2012-2015

The Major Planning Options refers to gender equality in the third option (3.6) and the following commitments are expressed: deepen public policies that promote and consolidate equality; improve the collection and statistical analysis of data relevant to equality in order to promote a substantiated and effective intervention in this area; reinforce gender mainstreaming in the central and local administration policies; implement new initiatives and amplification of measures already foreseen in the area of education in order to progressively eliminate all forms of discrimination present in the Portuguese society; take up measures against the salary differentiation between women and men; promote a more balanced number of women and men in decision-making positions; prevent and combat sexual harassment at work.
