Gender Mainstreaming in Employment (Public Sector)--A tool kit
This toolkit has been designed, as part of the project ESF/no.46 “The Gender Aspect from a Legal Perspective”, with the aim of assisting human resource managers or other persons in the public sector whose job entails working with people. It provides general information on gender equality, gender mainstreaming strategy and methods that can be adopted within the workplace.
The toolkit in fact contains a compilation of existing information on gender-related issues, and also provides tools to facilitate the adoption of gender mainstreaming practices within the respective organisation. The toolkit moreover provides information on the ‘business benefits’ of gender mainstreaming and family friendly measures, thus illustrating why public sector organisations would benefit through the implementation of this strategy.
