National Action Plan on Gender Equality

The plan was adopted by the Council of Ministers on 29.8.2007 and covers the period of 2007-2013.
According to the National Action Plan, there are 66 separate actions promoting gender equality and gender mainstreaming. The actions are included under the six main thematic units, namely promoting equality in employment and education, in research and innovation, in the representation in the social, political and economic sphere, combating violence against women including trafficking, promoting equal application of social rights and altering gender stereotypes.
