Aims and objectives

These Regulations prescribe the institutions responsible for the co-ordination of horizontal policies and the procedures, by which the institutions involved in the management of the European Union Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund (hereinafter – European Union funds) ensure the preparation of planning documents and implementation of the European Union funds, including the selective pre-examination of the procurement documentation and the process of the procurement procedure.

Handbook for applicants, implementers, evaluators of EU funds and for civil servants involved in management of EU funds "How to ensure equal opportunities in projects with EU funds co-funding" (2008); Guidelines for experts assessing EU funds projects on compliance with horizontal priority "Equal opportunities" in applications selection for EU fund projects (2008).

Ministry of Welfare shall be responsible for the co-ordination of the horizontal policy of equal opportunities in issues related to gender equality, disability and ageing (preparation of opinions regarding the drafts of the planning documents of European Union funds and legal acts in the field of European Union funds, participation in the preparation of annual reports on the implementation of operational programmes, and the provision of information necessary for the selection of applications for European Union fund projects).
