Ministries organise gender mainstreaming training for management and civil servants
Aims and objectives
To develop gender mainstreaming training for management and civil servants in all ministries, as required in the Gender Equality Action Plans 2008-2011
Results and impact
According to the final report of the Gender Equality Plan 2008-2011, 8/12 ministries have developed their own gender mainstreaming training, for example, the Ministry for Labour and Economy has produced a training manual on gender mainstreaming in the field of the ministry, and 800 people have participated in gender trainings. According to the GM monitoring report from spring 2013, only 4 ministries had organised such training in 2012, indicating that if a specific initiative is not mentioned in the Government Gender Equality Action Plan, it is less likely to be implemented.
