Aims and objectives
The aim is to define the statute of the Council of the Government for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, including membership.
Results and impact
The Statute provides for an official consultation of stakeholders, particularly the NGO and academic sectors, in defining priorities, plans and policies in the field of equal opportunities, through membership in the Council of the Government for Equal Opportunities and in the Working Groups and Committees.

The provisions concerning membership stipulate: Item o) 9 representatives of the public from non-state non-profit organizations active in the field of equal opportunities for women and men, Item p) 4 experts active in the field of equal opportunities for women and men. This official definition of membership ensures consultation and participation of stakeholders in: (1) preparing proposals of measures aimed at advancement and achievement of equal opportunities for women and men and particularly (2) a) discuss and recommend to the government basic conceptual directions of policies of the government in promoting equal opportunities for women and men, b) coordinate basic directions of department plans in the field of equal opportunities for women and men, c) define areas of priorities for department projects to support the implementation of equal opportunities for women and men, d) identify in society topical problems in equal opportunities for women and men, e) evaluate the efficiency of the implementation of the principle of equality of women and men.
