Doctors, nurses in youth health care, general practitioners, gynaecologists and obstetricians, neighbourhood houses, schools, youth doctors, youth nurses, centres for asylum seekers and other organisations

Prevalence data on FGM

50 girls mutilated in the Netherlands per year

Limitations of study

The research was not meant to provide a reliable prevalence of FGM in the Netherlands, but only provided insights about FGM among professionals and attitudes towards FGM among Somali women in two cities of the Netherlands.
